First Holiday Inn Hotel Opens in Chennai, India

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened the Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway in India, offering business travellers comfortable and budget accommodation in the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Located in Chennai’s IT hub, also known as Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR), and only 20 minutes from Chennai International Airport, the 202-room Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway is the company’s fifth and the brand’s first in the city, boasting contemporary interiors, expansive view of the IT corridor, complimentary wifi, and 464sqm of flexible meeting spaces.

The property provides three food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, Café G; a sports-themed bar, Score, offering a blend of music, beverages, and ambiance, making it an ideal place to unwind after a long day; and The Lounge, an afternoon tea or meeting spot serving coffee and cake.

With Tidel Park just 10 minutes away, and IT companies, such as Cognizant Tech Solutions, HCL Technologies and Cisco Systems, located in close proximity, the hotel’s locale caters to corporate and MICE travellers to Chennai.
