Swire Hotels to Open The Middle House in Shanghai, China

Swire Hotels will open The Middle House in Shanghai, China, at the end of 2017, offering travellers more accommodation options in the bustling commercial capital.

Part of the mixed-use development HKRI Taikoo Hui, the hotel is located at the heart of Shanghai’s popular commercial district, and is the fourth property under the company’s The House Collective.

The new Shanghai property will offer 111 guestrooms as well as 102 serviced apartments under The Middle House Residences, while offering expansive outdoor spaces and terraces, which will provide the perfect escape amidst the dynamic city.

Swire Hotels will continue their collaboration with New York-based chef Gray Kunz, with the restaurant Café Gray Deluxe being integral to how The Middle House will position itself to the Shanghai community.

“Following the success of The House Collective in Hong Kong, Beijing and most recently in Chengdu, we are very excited to introduce The Middle House to Shanghai,” says Brian Williams, managing director, Swire Hotels. “Our House hotels are each uniquely imagined, and are specially designed for guests who seek a different, intimate, and personalised experience.”
