Lufthansa will add new long-haul flights connecting Munich, Germany to key cities in Asia from next northern summer, bringing more convenience and seamless journeys to west-bound business travellers.
Lufthana, a member of the Star Alliance, will resume its nonstop, five times weekly Munich-Singapore route, and will launch new flights to Beijing and Hong Kong, which will be operated using the carrier’s A380 SuperJumbo. These new Lufthansa Munich – Asia services will offer greater connectivity with Star Alliance partners in Asia, including Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways, and offer business travellers greater access to destinations in East and Southeast Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand.
The German national carrier will also introduce a direct long-haul service from Munich to Los Angeles, USA, operating with the Airbus A380, next summer, and will transfer five of its 14 A380s from Frankfurt to Munich.
Lufthansa’s A380 features a four-cabin configuration seating a total of 509 passengers, including eight in first class, 78 in business class, 52 in premium economy, and 371 in economy.
Lufthansa is the largest German airline, and, when combined with its subsidiaries, is the second-largest airline in Europe in terms of passengers carried.
