China Eastern to Increase its Brisbane Flights to Daily

China Eastern will add three weekly flights to its Shanghai-Brisbane route this November, offering more flexibility for business travellers frequently flying between the two cities.

With the additional flights, the currently four-times-weekly service, which flies on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, will become a daily service.

The airline operates the route with an Airbus 330-200, with flights departing Shanghai at 21:40 and arriving in Brisbane at 10:15 the next morning. Return legs take off at 12:15 to arrive in Shanghai at 20:20. All times local.

“Daily flights allow the flexibility that business travellers and holidaymakers need when planning their travel, including better timings for various connections across China and the world,” says Julieanna Alroe, Brisbane Airport Corporation’s CEO and managing director. “As a major gateway to Australia we also know that many inbound international passengers arriving at Brisbane Airport also travel on to other Queensland regions by road or via our extensive flight network spanning 50 domestic destinations across Australia.”

China Eastern launched its Shanghai-Brisbane service in December last year, followed by the launch of a three-times-weekly Wuhan-Sydney service in February this year.
