Air Belgium, the new Belgian airline, will introduce its first scheduled service between Hong Kong International and Brussels South Airport in June.

“Hong Kong has long been an important market for our airline,” says Niky Terzakis, chief executive officer, Air Belgium. “We are going to establish our Asian hub in this energetic city and our intention is to recruit about 100 staff members this year. It gives us all at Air Belgium great pleasure that we will be able to step into the Hong Kong and China markets.” The airline expects to add six more Chinese destinations by the end of summer 2018, following growing business opportunities between Chinese and Belgian companies.

“This new route will bring true Belgian hospitality and experience to our passengers. It is no surprise if we elected to operate our very first service to Hong Kong International,” says Terzakis. “We could not have opted for a better airport destination, with excellent quality of service, friendliness and a very convenient Asian hub.”

Brussels South Airport is known for its efficiency, expedited terminal process ensuring that a minimal time is wasting before departure or after landing. Its location will spare passengers from road congestions around the capital city of Brussels whatever your end destination is. Premium and Business Class passengers are able to enjoy a new, exclusive and attractive lounge near the gate before taking off, and will be welcomed in a brand new, dedicated premium terminal by 2019. Upon arrival in the secure parking area, premium and business travellers can continue to baggage drop-off, the security check and passport control and the comfortable lounge.
