Packed with dynamic design and inspiring art, Fusion Original Saigon Centre offers business travellers a vitalistic alternative in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.

A boutique urban retreat punctuated with dynamic lighting, captivating colours, and a curated collection of insightful contemporary Vietnamese art, the first Fusion Original property offer business travellers a great base from which to conduct business in Vietnam’s commercial capital.

Situated atop Saigon Centre, a mixed use commercial tower and home to the city’s most luxurious mall, the hotel is close to major financial institutions as well as government offices. However, that’s where the conventional business hotel credentials end.

Offering corporate travellers a true sense of space the contemporary hotel combines a dynamic, design-driven persona with a stellar location and sophisticated guest rooms and public spaces.

The hotel’s playful, bold aesthetic extends to its 99 guest rooms, each of which is dressed in honey-hued wood and bronze. My room has everything travelling business people would require, from a work desk with leather chair in caramel leather, a deep soak tub, a day bed in slate grey, a Marshall Bluetooth speaker, and a minibar laced with local flavour (there’s also a Refresh Pantry with cookies, fruit and a coffee machine on each floor). Well appointed work spaces in each room cater to busy executives while the lobby, with its eye-catching art and boardroom style table, is well suited for casual meetings and catch ups.

Guests will also be spoiled at the Miss Thu restaurant, with its staggering cityscape views from the 24th floor.  Designed to tell the story of the city’s evolution through the life of central character Miss Thu, the expansive restaurant is flooded with natural light and is given a pop with intriguing murals, wall collages, and a ceiling design inspired by the traditional nón quai thao straw hat. Here guests enjoy comprehensive breakfasts as well as contemporary takes of Vietnamese classics, from spring rolls stuffed with fresh tiger prawn, to Argentinian beef given a flavour punch with Vietnamese chimichurri.

A private dining room is also available for corporate entertaining and strategy sessions.

In terms of facilities, the hotel shares an expansive outdoor swimming pool on the 6th floor with the adjacent Sedona Suites and also offers guests access to a California Centuryon Fitness centre only steps away.

One amenity that will appeal to time-poor business travellers is The Nest, a rift on an executive lounge. Available to guests waiting for check-in or flights, the dark and seductive lounge features a series of partitioned armchairs, and offers bespoke spa treatments and a selection of contemporary local snacks to the Fusion Original experience lingers just a little longer
