Located in the heart of the city’s financial hub, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta brings strong green credentials to the business travel scene of the Indonesian capital.

Ascott’s third Citadines property in Indonesia, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta not only offers contemporary accommodation for busy business travellers, but does so with a commendable EDGE certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia, ensuring travellers peace of mind when visiting the capital. Located within The Newton 1 Tower, a mixed development that also includes a residential component, the new serviced apartment hotel is the perfect base from which to do business in Jakarta’s thriving economy.

The Location

Citadines Sudirman Jakarta is strategically located in Jakarta’s golden triangle, surrounded by shopping malls, modern office buildings, and eateries and is just a stone’s throw away from the busy Sudirman area and some of Jakarta’s main business and entertainment hotspots. Visitors to the city will find the new complex a welcomed respite from the capital’s traffic, with world-class facilities set against green belts and modern architecture. The vibe when arriving is that of a luxury apartment complex and after a speedy check-in process, I made my way up to my One-Bedroom Deluxe King suite.

Located in the heart of the city's financial hub, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta brings strong green credentials to the business travel scene of the Indonesian capital.

The Room

Citadines Sudirman Jakarta offers the comfort of serviced residences and the flexibility of a hotel, where guests can live, work, play, and experience the buzz of city life. The property boasts 253 units ranging from studios to one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as family suites. Each apartment has a private balcony offering stunning cityscape views and is fully furnished with amenities such as LED televisions, a microwave oven, an induction stove, a refrigerator as well as a high-quality indoor air conditioning system with air filtering and air quality monitoring capabilities.

My 41 sqm One-Bedroom Deluxe King suite is all a business traveller to the Indonesian capital could need. The fully-equipped kitchen makes cooking dead easy, especially with the ample dining table and full-sized refrigerator, while the bedroom boasts a superbly comfortable king-sized bed and a dedicated workspace. The bathroom, while snug, has a separate shower with a heavenly showerhead and there’s plenty of room to tuck luggage away.

Facilities

Like other Citidines properties we have looked at, the new Jakarta serviced apartment hotel has plenty to keep guests busy and active during their stay. Through activ∞ (pronounced as ‘activate’), Citadines’ signature programmes, guests can enjoy an array of amenities, such as an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness zone and park that includes an outdoor jogging track and fitness corner. Guests can also enjoy a curated programme to jumpstart their city living with key places to explore within the neighbourhood. Coffee lovers will enjoy For The Love of Coffee, where they can enjoy a series of local coffee selections upon check-in at the self-service coffee corner in the lobby (a godsend for busy business travellers struggling with jetlag), while other facilities at the serviced apartment also include a kid’s pool, launderette and meeting rooms.

Green Credentials

Citadines Sudirman Jakarta is the first Citadines property in the Indonesian capital to bring the green building concept to business travellers. As part of the property’s development, several technical solutions were applied, including Low-E laminated double glass, LED bulbs, VRV Cooling system and multi-split AC for energy savings. The building also uses efficient water fixtures, less embodied energy in materials, and has high-efficiency air filtration systems to maintain safe levels of indoor air quality such as Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5.

Citadines Sudirman Jakarta obtained EDGE certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia and is projected to achieve more than 20% energy savings, more than 35% water savings and use 50% less embodied energy.
