The Westin Brisbane Has Opens in Queensland

Westin Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, has opened The Westin Brisbane, marking the brand’s debut in Queensland, Australia.

Located in the heart of the River City, the new Westin hotel offers an urban retreat for business travellers who prioritize their wellbeing.

A Hotel That Captures the Destination

Thoughtfully designed to capture the laid-back sophistication of the city, The Westin Brisbane features 260 guest rooms and 39 expansive suites with floor to ceiling windows, bathing the rooms in natural light.

The hotel feels residential and intimate, yet open and airy, and has been designed with a biophilic-focus, suggesting that a connection to nature enhances well-being. Colours found in nature inspired the sophisticated palette coupled with natural materials and patterns that add textural layers to the interior design. Guests can enjoy a range of signature in-room Westin comforts, from the world-renowned Heavenly Bed to the complimentary Sleep Well lavender balm.

Cementing one of the brand’s well-being pillar, Eat Well, The Westin Brisbane offers three distinct dining venues featuring nutrient-rich and delicious culinary options. Under the direction of The Westin Brisbane’s executive chef Steve Sweetman, Eden’s Table restaurant delivers a stylish and sophisticated dining experience with a menu that celebrates locally sourced produce from ocean to paddock.

A Place to Work & Play

Named after Australian aviation royalty and Brisbane born pilots, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm, The Charles’ jazz bar provides a relaxing space for guests to enjoy a light bite with a coffee during the day or a cocktail in the evening, while Nautilus presents Brisbane’s first swim-up pool bar on level two, serving light snacks designed to be enjoyed with a cocktail or refreshing juice or smoothie.

The Westin Brisbane’s central location and unique well-being offering make it an attractive option for business functions and celebratory events as well. Featuring 930 square metres of integrated meeting and event space, the hotel has a large ballroom, three breakout rooms, and an additional boardroom all with glass to ceiling windows creating a bright and dynamic space.

Something For After Hours

The Westin Brisbane offers an array of experiences for guests and day visitors to rejuvenate, revitalise, and improve their health and well-being. Australia’s first Heavenly Spa by Westin offers five treatment rooms, including two couple’s rooms, steam room, and idyllic relaxation pods.

Designed as a modern and tranquil oasis, the spa offers a full menu of signature services, including body treatments, massages, and facials and has partnered with Kerstin Florian to be the only provider of the company’s premier product line in Brisbane.

The fully-equipped WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio offers an open and airy space for guests to enjoy, with aqua aerobic classes available in the hotel’s 300 square metre resort-style pool. Guests can sign up to yoga and Pilates classes, which will take place on the pool deck, or participate in the renowned RunWESTIN program, featuring specially created five and eight-kilometer running routes through the city for self-guided exploration or guided by the hotel’s exclusive Run Concierge.

The hotel will also offer the brand’s signature gear lending program, providing workout gear for guests so they can pack light and stay fit on the road.

Located at 111 Mary Street, the hotel is just a short walk from Eagle Street Pier, the Botanic Gardens, Queen Street Mall, and the South Bank Parklands and arts precinct.
