Thai AirAsia Launches Flights to Laos

Thai AirAsia has launched daily direct flights between Don Mueang in Bangkok and Luang Prabang – the airline’s first doorway to Laos – offering business travellers an economical way to fly between the two countries.

The outbound flight, FD1030, departs Don Mueang International Airport at 14:10 and arrives in Luang Prabang International Airport at 15:30. The return leg, FD1030, leaves Bangkok at 16:45, arriving in the capital of Luang Prabang Province at 18:05.

“Luang Prabang has many distinct travel features, from its local lifestyle and culture to its natural attractions,” says CEO of Thai AirAsia Tassapon Bijlevel. “This latest route also creates new investment opportunities. We are confident that as a friendly destination, Luang Prabang will quickly grow to be a popular place to visit for both Thai and international travellers.”

On top of marking this year’s initiation of the ASEAN Economic Community, the Luang Prabang route also completes Thai AirAsia’s network of CLMV nations (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam), which are considered countries with great economic potential  in ASEAN.  www.airasia.com
