Sunway to Reopen 4.5-Star Hotel in November

The 4.5-star Sunway Pyramid Hotel (formerly known as Sunway Pyramid Hotel East) will re-open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on November 3, 2016, after a seven-month long, RM125 million renovation exercise, offering business travellers in the city an upgraded stay in the hotel’s latest deluxe guestrooms.

Located in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, adjacent to the five-star flagship Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, the newly renovated hotel integrates the brand’s latest design elements, reflecting contemporary interiors and stylish ergonomic furnishings catering to the needs of the upbeat new generation of travellers.

Each guestroom and suite in Sunway Pyramid Hotel focuses on technology improvements with smart lighting, bedside USB charger outlets, flexible workspaces, and high pressure walk-in shower. The hotel transformation also includes a complete make-over on the hotel’s main lobby, a new coffee lounge, and lift landings.

“The re-opening of Sunway Pyramid Hotel brings a new level of energy and excitement; adding to the spectacular facilities and vibrancy in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur. With the full room inventory available by end of January 2017, the cluster of three hotels in Sunway City including the new Sunway Pyramid Hotel, will offer guests a choice of over 1,400 guestrooms and suites within a single integrated destination; thereby affording guests with every conceivable choice and budget. We’re also making enormous strides in growing market share, leveraging on our recent opening of Sunway Hotels & Resorts’ Regional Sales Offices in Shanghai and Dubai,” says Albert Cheong, CEO and group general manager of Sunway Hotels & Resorts.

The renovation increased the hotel’s room inventory to 564 deluxe rooms and suites from the previous 549. www.sunwayhotels.com
