Starwood to Open Aloft Seoul Myeongdong

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed Aloft Seoul Myeongdong, the second Aloft hotel in Seoul, South Korea. Slated to open in February 2017, the new hotel will offer business travellers design-led initiatives and tech-forward amenities.

“We are excited to partner with Shin Chang Co., Ltd. in this endeavour, expanding the Aloft brand and its pioneering initiatives in live music, design and technology in Seoul,” says Lothar Pehl, senior vice president, operations and global initiatives, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific. “Following the opening of Aloft Seoul Gangnam in October 2014, this second Aloft hotel will further fuel the brand’s growth momentum in South Korea and the greater Asia Pacific region.”

Located at 104 Myeongdong in the Jung-gu sub-district, Aloft Seoul Myeongdong is ideally situated in the heart of the city. The site also provides convenient access to four subway stations, including Seoul Station in Yongsan District, which is a 43-minute express train ride from Incheon Airport.

Aloft Seoul Myeongdong will feature 223 loft-inspired guest rooms with the brand’s signature offerings, such as plush signature beds, custom amenities, as well as fast and free wifi throughout the property.
