Singapore Business Hotel Emerges from Makeover

The Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium has emerged from an extensive multimillion dollar refurbishment that has seen all interiors, from the lobby and guest rooms through meeting facilities and dining concepts, given a thorough revamp.

Further enhancing its position as a choice destination for business travellers to the Lion City, the refurbishment included a full upgrade to the hotel’s main Atrium Ballroom and 12 other meeting and conference rooms, all of which are now fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and amenities and can cater to all manner of corporate events from press conferences and media launches to meetings and networking events. The refreshed event facilities are complemented by a team of knowledgeable and efficient event planners.

“We have a dedicated team of event specialists who assist to plan and transform our meeting spaces to suit the range of needs of our business travellers,” said the hotel’s general manager Tuncay Bockin. “It is not unusual for guests travelling on business to extend their stay in Singapore and explore the city, with the hotel conveniently located close to popular attractions such as Orchard Road, Chinatown and Clarke Quay.”

Conveniently located between the city’s business and financial districts, the 512-room hotel now boasts modern interiors inspired by the Singapore river and the iconic colourful shophouses that line the riverbanks, all created by Eco-id Architects.

The hotel also boasts a new all-day dining venue, Atrium Restaurant, which has been remodelled to complement the shophouse charm with a bright, cheery interior, and offers an international buffet and a la carte menus by executive chef Chua Yew Hock.

Another new addition to the hotel’s dining scene is Atrium Bar 317, a chic bar and lounge overlooking the hotel’s famous lobby atrium. During the day, guests can enjoy coffee, pastries and deli-style sandwiches, and after hours, executive travellers can unwind after a day of meetings with cocktails, wine, a menu of bar bites, and live music.

Offering authentic Cantonese cuisine and an easy choice for business lunches or dinner with clients, the hotel’s award-winning Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant continues to served up its signature creations and exquisite dim sum. www.ihg.com
