Singapore Airlines to Fly A350-900 to Amsterdam

Singapore Airlines will launch the inaugural long-haul flight of its new Airbus A350-900 fleet to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on May 9, 2016, allowing business travellers the chance to enjoy more comfort in the air.

With advanced technology and superior operating efficiency, the newest addition to the Airline’s fleet will offer customers an improved travelling experience with features such as higher ceilings, larger windows, and lighting designed to reduce jet-lag. The aircraft will be fitted with 253 seats in three classes, with 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.

“The A350 is a key element in our overall capacity growth and fleet renewal strategy,” says Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong . “Its improved operating efficiency offers us the opportunity to open up even more new routes, providing more travel options to our customers.”

Prior to the launch of the first long-haul services to Amsterdam, Singapore Airlines’ A350-900s will be deployed to selected destinations within Asia on a temporary basis. The aircraft will also be used on the airline’s new Singapore-Düsseldorf route, which is scheduled to commence in July 2016. www.singaporeair.com
