Shilla Opens Third Stay Property in Seoul

Shilla Stay has opened its third property in Seoul in the highly coveted Mapo District. Located the heart of Seoul’s administrative district and surrounded by universities, Shilla Stay Mapo enjoys easy access to Seoul’s public transport network making it ideal for budget-conscious business travellers.

Comprising 383 exquisitely designed guestrooms, visitors can choose from three room categories – the comfortable Standard Room, spacious Deluxe Room or luxurious Grand Room. To ensure a comfortable, relaxing stay, all guestrooms feature high-quality Hungarian goose-down bedding and Aveda bathroom amenities. Like other Shilla Stay hotels, renowned Italian architect Piero Lissoni designed Shilla Stay Mapo interiors. Famed for his contemporary style, the designer uses a neutral palette, chic furnishings and minimalist style to create a warm, welcoming ambience.

To meet the needs of today’s multi-tasking business traveller, Shilla Stay Mapo includes a variety of modern facilities, including a business centre, conference room, and well-equipped fitness centre. As an added incentive to work out, guests visiting the 26/F fitness centre will also appreciate the picturesque views overlooking Han River and Yeouido island.

The stylish 2/F “Café” provides all-day dining, inviting guests to start the day with a tempting breakfast buffet. The restaurant transforms into a relaxing lounge bar in the evenings, welcoming office workers to stop by for a post-work drink or after-hours snack. Occupying two floors, Shilla Stay’s “Café” can welcome up to 114 guests while the private dining room can be customised to cater for 24 guests for social gatherings or corporate events.

Centrally located, Gongdeok subway station is a three-minute walk from the hotel. The station serves as a transfer point for Subway lines 5 and 6, the Gyeonggui-Jungang line and Airport Railroad Express line. Aside from having the National Assembly Building and many major financial buildings nearby, Shilla Stay Mapo is also close to the popular Yeouido IFC shopping mall and Hongik University. Culinary connoisseurs can explore the Itaewon district, famous for its many restaurants serving international cuisines.
