Sheraton Opens Fifth Hotel in Shanghai

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the Sheraton Shanghai Jiading Hotel, the brand’s fifth hotel in the international metropolis of Shanghai.

Ideally suited for corporate travellers to China’s economic powerhouse, the new Sheraton Shanghai Jiading Hotel offers 345 contemporary guest rooms and suites, each featuring premium sleep and bath amenities, in addition to flat-panel LCD televisions, comfortably spacious work areas, and high-speed internet access. Busy road warriors can also take advantage of a wide range of on-property leisure facilities, including a Sheraton Fitness Center, an indoor heated pool, and the hotel spa, and can stay connected in comfort in the Sheraton Club lounge with its complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments, and free Wi-Fi.

“We are thrilled with the opening of the Sheraton Shanghai Jiading Hotel, the fifth Sheraton hotel in Shanghai, China’s most populous and cosmopolitan city,” says senior brand director Asia Pacific for Starwood Vincent Ong. “The Sheraton brand has become an icon in China, and by leveraging our first-mover advantage and 30-year legacy, we have now grown to become the most dominant international upper-upscale hotel brand in the country.”

Sheraton Shanghai Jiading Hotel is located within the Jiading District, best known as the home of the Shanghai International Circuit that hosts the glitzy Chinese Grand Prix race every April. The property is also mere steps from entertainment and retail shopping options at ASE Center Plaza and Robinsons Galleria. Within an hour’s drive of the property are two key international airports, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

With over 3,200 square meters of multi-functional conference space, including a deluxe grand pillar-less ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,500 people, Sheraton Shanghai Jiading Hotel is the ideal place for meetings, conferences and special events.

As part of the new lobby bar menu Paired—the Sheraton brand’s reinvigorated food and beverage program—expertly matches small plates, premium wines and craft beers, available at the Lobby Lounge, the perfect locale for intimate business meetings. Three unique dining venues provide an array of culinary options—from the all-day buffet at the brand’s signature FEAST, to the Cantonese flavors of China of YUE, to modern Japanese at Miyabi.

Sheraton Shanghai Jiading Hotel joins four other Sheraton hotels in the dynamic city of Shanghai– Sheraton Shanghai Hongkou Hotel, Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel, Sheraton Shanghai Pudong Hotel & Residences and Sheraton Shanghai Waigaoqiao Hotel. www.sheraton.com/shanghaijiading
