Shangri-La at the Fort to Open in Manila

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila is set to open on March 1 in Bonifacio Global City, offering business travellers a luxurious accommodation in one of the fastest growing and vibrant developments in Metro Manila.

Designed in pale beige and ivory tones with light Italian wood paneling, the hotel offers 576 minimalist-style rooms and suites, with unparalleled city and bay views. The Deluxe rooms are among the most spacious in the city and feature Shangri-La amenities, free wifi, and modern luxuries; while the four Specialty Suites are beautifully appointed and named after the Philippine group of islands and the largest metropolis in the country – Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Manila.

“As a lifestyle complex, we look outwards, engaging and working with all the key components, not just the hotel,” says John Rice, general manager of Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila.  “Bonifacio Global City is known as the home of passionate minds, and our vision is to deliver contemporary luxury in one place, where people can collaborate, discover and explore on-trend facilities in a dynamic energetic location.”

Catering to business meetings and events, the hotel boasts 21 function spaces, including the 1,800sqm Grand Ballroom, outfitted with Lasvit chandeliers. Other hotel facilities include five fitness zones, a spa with ten treatment rooms, tennis and squash courts, and The Arena, an NBA-grade indoor basketball court.

Guests can savour Spanish, Mediterranean and Philippine cuisines at South American restaurant Samba, or dine on Cantonese and Huaiyang delicacies at Canton Road. Meat lovers should head over to the Raging Bull Chophouse and Bar, which features grain and grass-fed dry-aged beef as well as an extensive selection of wines. www.shangri-la.com/manila/shangrilaatthefort/
