Scoot to Launch Flights to India

Singapore-based low-cost carrier Scoot plans to launch flights to India from March 2016, giving business travellers more choice when they fly to the country.

“We are awaiting final approvals from aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for flying to India from Singapore,” says Bharath Mahadevan, country head, Scoot. “We will start with a metro and non-metro destination in the north and a metro in the south of India.”

All new routes will be operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Scoot is the only airline in the world to operate an all-Dreamliner fleet, with its 335-seat B787-8s and 375-seat B787-9s. Both aircraft types feature the economy class and ScootBiz, the airline’s premium economy-style product. www.flyscoot.com
