Qatar To Begin Services to Amsterdam.

Qatar Airways is set to commence services to Amsterdam from June 16, 2015.

“Amsterdam has long been on our list of destinations to introduce to our network, and we are delighted to now be adding this dynamic European city to our route map,” said the airline’s CEO, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker. “Qatar Airways looks forward to bringing our five-star service to the Netherlands, and providing travellers with an extensive list of destination across the Middle East, Africa and the Far East that are easily accessible with a minimal connection time in Doha.”

The Doha-Amsterdam route will operate on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the latest next-generation aircraft in the airline’s fleet, offering 254 seats in two classes, with 22 fully-flat bed seats in Business Class and 232 in Economy Clas.

A port city and ever-growing destination for business, Amsterdam serves s a base for seven of the world’s 500 largest companies, including Shell, Philips and ING.

Hong Kong-based passengers will transit via Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airway’s state-of-the-art home base in Doha. Facilities here include one of the world’s best and biggest Business Class lounges – the Al Mourjan lounge – as well as over 40,000sqm of retail space and restaurants, including a selection of more than 70 retail and 30 food and beverage outlets.

With the addition of Amsterdam, the total number of European destinations covered by the five-star airline will be 34, which is approximately 25 percent of the airline’s network. www.qatarairways.com
