Qantas to Open New Heathrow Lounge

Qantas will open a flagship global lounge in London Heathrow Airport in early 2017. Occupying a split-level space in Terminal 3, the premium lounge will be able to accommodate approximately 230 business travellers.

The design of the lounge will combine the signature features of Qantas’ award-winning facilities in other ports with local touches to make the design and experience distinctively London. The new lounge will feature the Rockpool menu and dining experience; a full-service bar with Rockpool cocktails; full bathroom facilities including showers; and business facilities.

“The Kangaroo Route is at the heart of Qantas’ identity and London remains one of our most important destinations,” says Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce. “We want the first dedicated Qantas lounge at Heathrow to be something special. We’re very proud of the new lounges we’ve launched over the past three years in Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Perth – with Brisbane to follow this year – and we’re excited to be bringing this successful formula to our customers in London.”

Passengers eligible to use the lounge will include Qantas Club members; the airline’s business and first class passengers; Platinum One, Platinum and Gold members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program; and passengers travelling in tiered cabins on partner airlines with a QF code. www.qantas.com.au
