Qantas Signs Codeshare with Soloman Airlines

Thanks to the new codeshare agreement, Qantas customers will be able to travel from Brisbane and Sydney to Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands, on Solomon Airlines services from November 15, 2015, as well as enjoying significant benefits.

“We’re pleased to offer our customers the added benefits of a codeshare on five services per week from Australia to Honiara, a destination becoming more popular with both business and leisure travellers alike, with onward connections available to some of the region’s more untouched islands,” says Qantas executive manager international sales Stephen Thompson. “This means more opportunities to earn frequent flyer points and status credits, and for the first time, we’ll be offering lounge access in Honiara for eligible customers. The new codeshare builds on our broader partnership strategy which sees us work closely with other international carriers to increase our presence in growing markets and deliver more for our customers.”

Operated by Soloman’s Airbus A320 aircraft, the route between Brisbane to Honiara will offer four returns services per week, while there will be one return service per week flying from Sydney to Honiara. Advance booking is available at www.qantas.com.au
