Qantas Adds Flights to Singapore and Hong Kong

Qantas has unveiled plans to increase flights between Hong Kong and Sydney as well as between Singapore and Perth.

The airline will operate a second service between Hong Kong and Sydney on every Friday, from December 11 to March 23, 2016, increasing the flight services from 11 to 12 per week. The route will be operated with the refurbished Boeing 747 and Airbus 330 aircraft, with selected services being upgraded to the A380, Qantas’ largest aircraft, during Christmas and the Lunar New Year.

Qantas will also add new Tuesday and Thursday services between Singapore and Perth on a year round basis from December 1, 2015, operating a Boeing 737-800 aircraft; hence, the flight services will be increased  from five flights per week to daily.

“We’re seeing Australian companies continue to expand their business in Asia, while the lower dollar is making Australia an even more attractive place to visit,” says Qantas International CEO Gareth Evans. “It’s about being agile to adjust to changes in the market, and we’re able to do that by maximising the utilisation of our large, varied fleet.” www.qantas.com.au
