Oman Air Revives Muscat-KL Route

From next week, Oman Air will begin operating a daily non-stop service between the Omani capital of Muscat, and the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. This is actually a relaunch of the service which the carrier stopped in 2010.

Currently, Oman Air operates services to Kuala Lumpur on its own, and through codeshares with Malaysian Airlines and Sri Lankan Airlines, but all flights require either one or two stops.

The new direct service, launching June 1, will depart Muscat at 0900 and arrive in Kuala Lumpu at 2010; the return leg will leave Kuala Lumpur at 0945 and land in Muscat at 1230.

“Our new non-stop service between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur will be warmly welcomed by customers in both Oman and Malaysia, as well as those from further afield,” said the airline’s COO, Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy. “Malaysia’s position as a global centre for trade and finance means that Oman Air’s new service will serve our business customers extremely well.” www.omanair.com
