Korean Air Expands Codeshares to Offer More European Destinations

Korean Air has expanded its existing codeshare agreements with fellow SkyTeam members Air France and Alitalia, allowing its Asia-based passengers to access more destinations.

From June, the Air France codeshare agreement has been expanded to include two French domestic destinations and two international destinations.

The Korean Air flight code KE will be available on Air France flights top the French cities of Lyon and Toulouse, as well as Barcelona and Madrid in Spain; Dusseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart in Germany; and Casablanca in Morocco. It will also double the frequencies on its existing codeshare routes between Paris-Nice and Paris-Marseilles from seven weekly to 14 weekly flights.

In addition, Korean Air will codeshare on new flights by Alitalia, between Rome and Seoul Incheon, doubling the frequency on the route from three a week to six. Alitalia will continue to codeshare on Korean Air-operated flights between Incheon-Rome and Incheon-Milan.

Korean Air will also codeshare on Alitalia-operated flights from Rome to three domestic destinations – Milan, Venice and Bologna, as well as seven international destinations. These include Athens, Greece; Barcelona and Madrid, Spain; Munich, Germany; Budapest, Hungary; Cairo, Egypt; and Casablanca, Morocco. www.koreanair.com
