Kerry Hotel Hong Kong Set for December Opening

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will open its fourth hotel in Hong Kong this December, with the unveiling of the 545-room Kerry Hotel in Hung Hom. The 16-storey waterfront hotel’s unique design will ensure guests, meeting and event attendees, and diners will all enjoy extraordinary views, with over 60 per cent of guestrooms boasting harbour views. Rooms will range from 42sqm up to 294sqm for the hotel’s stunning rooftop suite.

Designed as an urban resort, the hotel will have extensive meeting, event and catering facilities; in addition to the 1,756sqm Grand Ballroom, which will seat 1,030 people banquet style, the hotel will offer 17 flexible meeting venues that will accommodate 30 to 660 people, plus indoor and outdoor areas perfect for high-impact creative events. Other hotel facilities will include The Club Lounge, a 25m outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, and select retail shops.

Five unique and affordable restaurants and bars, including a vibrant food marketplace with ten concepts that incorporate modern and traditional culinary techniques, will also launch in December, with alfresco dining options feature unobstructed views of the harbour and Hong Kong skyline.

“People no longer look just for accommodation and dining facilities in a hotel,” says Kerry Hotel Hong Kong general manager Nicholas Smith. “They desire a holistic destination that satisfies a variety of needs while at the same time providing a sense of belonging and connection to the community.”

The hotel will begin taking room reservations in September 2016. www.shangri-la.com
