Jet Airways to Fly A330 to Singapore

India’s international airline Jet Airways will upgrade its daily flights between Mumbai and Singapore by deploying its state-of-the-art Airbus A330-200 aircraft, effective June 1, 2016, replacing the Boeing 737 currently operating on this route. This upgrade will enable business travellers to experience enhanced cabin comfort, while offering convenient connections from Mumbai to Australia and the ASEAN region over Singapore on codeshare and interline partner airlines.

The A330-200 offers a customised two-cabin seating configuration of 236 seats in Economy and 18 seats in Premiere (business class), which features the famed “Bed in the Clouds” experience. Set in a unique herringbone layout, each of the 18 seats in the Premiere cabin electronically open out to a 180-degree flat bed with lumbar support and massage systems. Every Première seat is an aisle seat which offers guests a personal space and comfort to work and rest.

“We are happy to deploy Jet Airways’ spacious and modern wide body aircraft catering to additional capacity on the highly popular Mumbai – Singapore – Mumbai route,” says Gaurang Shetty, whole time director, Jet Airways. “This sector has seen a growth in traffic by over 34 per cent in last two years, particularly among business travellers. In addition, connecting traffic over Singapore to Australia and the ASEAN destinations booked through code share and interline partners is also growing rapidly.” www.jetairways.com
