From July 2016, Japan Airlines (JAL) will introduce a renewed cabin interior – JAL Sky Suite 777 (SS2) – to its Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, which operates the the route between Tokyo (Haneda) and Bangkok, offering an elevated inflight experience for business travellers.

“Our aim is to deliver enhanced services and products to more customers. We have developed this new Business Class seat with highly in-flight habitability and provision of appropriate capacity as well,” says Yoshiharu Ueki, president of Japan Airlines. “JAL will be continuing to embrace new challenges, and striving to become the most preferred airline in the world.”

The new flat-bed seats, named JAL Sky Suite III, in Business Class feature retractable privacy partitions; 17-inch personal screens; LED lighting; and large swivel tables for more flexibility. In addition, the JAL Sky Premium seats will be introduced in Premium Economy Class; while the current seats in Economy Class will be replaced with the JAL Sky Wider seats, which offer an increased seat pitch of 10cm.

The airline also plans to use the revamped aircraft on the Tokyo (Haneda) – Singapore route, and will expand it onto JAL’s Honolulu route from this winter. www.jal.com
