JAL to Improve Inflight Menus

From June 1, Japan Airlines (JAL) will serve a new menu under the theme of “Hokkaido” in its Economy and Premium Economy Classes on flights from Tokyo (Narita and Haneda) and Osaka (Kansai) to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, offering business travellers a taste of the northernmost prefecture in Japan.

The same menu will also be served in Economy Class on JAL flights from Nagoya (Chubu) to China and Taiwan routes from September 1, 2016.

The first signature dish offered by the airline will be “Two Flavour Curry and Rice”, developed by Gotoken, a historic Japanese-style western restaurant in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Other options include omelette rice, grilled chicken with white sauce, fried noodles with seafood in salt flavour, grilled pork with rice, and grilled salmon with miso sauce.

The main dish will be renewed every 15 days and Häagen-Dazs ice cream will be served on international flights from June to August. www.jal.com
