JAL to Launch Meal Reservation Services

Japan Airlines (JAL) will introduce a Business Class meal reservation service on its website, allowing corporate travellers the chance to book either a Japanese menu or a Western menu (beef only) in advance for their first meal during flights.

The service will be available on transpacific, Europe, Southeast Asia and Oceania routes. Travellers will be able to make reservations after 16:00 on April 6, 2016, for Honolulu flights departing on or after April 12 and other select international flights departing on or after June 1.

The Business Class meal reservation service is not eligible for breakfast on flights departing at midnight, and the service must be done at least 25 hours before scheduled departure time of outbound flights from Japan. For inbound flights the meal reservation service must be completed at least 48 hours before scheduled departure time. www.jal.com
