JAL Opens Revamps Sakura Lounge at Osaka Kansai

Japan Airlines (JAL) has opened its newly-renovated Sakura lounge at Osaka Kansai Airport.

Located near Gate 37, the revamped facility offers customers a relaxing place to rest and relax before their flight from Kansai airport.

Redesigned with the concept of “modern Japanese style,” the lounge boasts a comfortable environment which delivers JAL’s focus on “Japanese hospitality” to passengers.

The new Sakura lounge boasts a host of facilities including a new entrance and interiors; seating for up to 177 guests; a smoking room; two massage chairs; and a private room.

Other amenities have been added to make the airport wait easier for customers, including baggage storage lockers with electric locks; a spacious dining area; an enlarged and improved buffet; a new make-up corner in the ladies’ restroom; more power outlets around each seat; and bigger displays for flight information.

Guests will also be able to enjoy better food options, including an all-day offering of two popular curries, including a local beef curry; a fresh salad bar; special menus for different times of day; and special dishes from a Halal-certified kitchen during the dinner service.

The lounge will be especially useful for passengers travelling on JAL’s seven daily flights between Osaka Kansai and Honolulu, Bangkok, Shanghai, Taipei and Los Angeles. www.jal.com
