JAL Offers New Vegetarian Menus

From June 1, Japan Airlines will offer new vegetarian menus on select international routes, in collaboration with Minna no Goha, a professional culinary company that developed specialised meals, including vegetarian dishes.

The new menus highlight a tapestry of flavours, colours and textures with ingredients such as soyabeam meat, minced konjac (a root vegetable) and vegetable demi-glace sauce.

These vegetarian options will be available in all cabins on select international flights. These include Tokyo Narita to New York JFK, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Paris, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong; as well as flights departing Tokyo Haneda for London, Paris, Honolulu, San Francisco, Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Taipei.

In Business Class, passengers can expect to begin the meal with an hors d’oeuvre course of stuffed tomato, couscous, beam simmered with tomato, and potato salad; followed by a main dish of tatsuta-age soy meat with tomato sauce; and a final dessert course of brownie with raspberry sauce. www.jal.com
