IHG Brings Holiday Inn Express to South Korea

InterContinental Hotels Group has debuted its Holiday Inn Express brand in South Korea with the opening of the 224-room Holiday Inn Express Seoul Euljiro.

Perfectly located for business travellers to Seoul, the new hotel is tucked into a financial and commercial precinct at the crossroads of the Myeong-dong, Namsan and Dongdaemon neighbourhoods.

Easily accessible by public transport, the hotel is just one minute from the Euljiro-ga subway station and one hour from Incheon International Airport.

The Holiday Inn Express Seoul Euljiro offers double-bed and twin-bed rooms, as well as free onsite parking, and the brand’s signature amenities, many of which are particularly pertinent for executive travellers. These amenities include free WiFi throughout the hotel to ensure constant connectivity; free Express Start Breakfast and Grab & Go options to make sure guests fuel up before their first meeting; a choice for pillows to ensure a restful night’s sleep; and power showers with a three-function massage shower head.

“Holiday Inn Express is our fastest growing brand globally – on average, we open two new Holiday Inn Express hotels every week – and is an ideal option for the modern, on-the-go traveller,” said IHG’s chief operating officer for Australasia, Japan, Korea & Franchise, Karin Sheppard. “The opening of our first Holiday Inn Express hotel in the Republic of South Korea is a major milestone in our expansion plans in Asia, and brings our total portfolio in South Korea to nine hotels.”

Holiday Inn Express Seoul Euljiro is offering a special opening rate of KRW 137,500 (US$126) per night for bookings made before August 31, 2015. www.ihg.com
