HK Express Reduces Seoul Flights, Adds Bangkok

Hong Kong-based carrier HK Express will reduce the number of flights between Hong Kong and Seoul, South Korea, from July 1.

Despite the current MERS scare which has significantly reduced travel to South Korea, the airline did not attribute the cancellation of its flight to the outbreak, instead citing that the change was made after a review of market needs.

The low-cost carrier currently operates a three daily flights between Hong Kong and Seoul; this will be reduced to a twice-daily service when it cancels UO614 and UO615.

HK Express also plans to launch a new service to Bangkok’s Don Mueung airport. Subject to approval, the airline will fly one daily flight between Hong Kong and the Thai capital. Flights will be operated on an A320 aircraft, which features a single-class configuration of 180 economy class seats in a 3-3 layout.

Flight UO322 will depart Hong Kong at 2150, arriving in Bangkok at 2345; the return service, flight UO323 will leave Bangkok at 0315 the next morning, touching down in Hong Kong at 0705. www.hkexpress.com
