Delta to Launch New Inflight Menus

Beginning June 1, Delta Air Lines will replace its current inflight menus with Flight Fuel, offering business travellers a new catering program which features healthy and fresh ingredients. The new program will have three menus: Flight Fuel, Flight Fuel Premium, which will be offered on transcontinental non-stop flights between JFK and LAX/SFO, and Flight Fuel Hawaii.

“The newly branded Flight Fuel program extends far beyond a name change, it’s really about introducing multiple new menu offerings and providing transparency into ingredient and allergen information for customers,” says Allison Ausband, Delta’s senior vice president of in-flight service. “This latest enhancement is another step in the right direction for Delta as we continue to improve the overall customer experience and provide a variety of fresh, healthy options in flight.”

Flight Fuel will feature refreshed snack boxes including Crave, Crunch and Tapas, which are the U.S. airline industry’s only non-GMO snack boxes. Highlights of the menus include a fruit and cheese plate, a turkey sandwich option with chips and a brownie, continental breakfast, breakfast sandwich options, and three wraps by food manufacturer Luvo.

Flight Fuel Premium will feature Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle and a high-quality fruit and cheese plate co-branded with Murray’s Cheese, New York’s most iconic cheese shop. All fresh Flight Fuel products will be packaged in sustainable, earth-friendly and recyclable materials. www.delta.com
