Courtyard by Marriott Opens in Raipur

Courtyard by Marriott Raipur – the brand’s 14th property in India – has opened in the capital city of Chhattisgarh, offering business travellers a refreshing retreat only a stone’s throw away from Swami Vivekananda Airport.

The Courtyard by Marriott Raipur boasts some of the largest rooms and suites available in Raipur, including the largest guest suite in the city, at 65sqm. The 96 rooms and 12 suites feature high-speed wireless internet; 40-inch LED TVs; spacious work areas with comfort lighting and ergonomic chairs; and signature aromatherapy bathroom amenities.

“Central India is evolving at a rapid pace and we want to be a partner in this,” says Neeraj Govil, market vice president Asia, Marriott International. “Our entry into Raipur is in line with this strategy. Raipur is an up and coming MICE destination and has also been designated as one of the ‘Smart Cities’ in the country. This makes it a key player in the region and we believe that our new property will create a new atmosphere and be an integral part of this city’s growth. With this launch, Marriott International reinforces its commitment to bringing the best brands within the portfolio to Indian market.”

Checking-in as Marriott’s first property in Raipur district, the hotel is an ideal venue for corporate and social events. The 425sqm ballroom can be divided into two function spaces to suit events of various sizes. The hotel also offers state-of-the-art meeting facilities to host world-class corporate events.

Guests also have the opportunity to explore three unique food and beverage outlets within the property. MoMo Cafe, a chic, contemporary all day dining restaurant offers a wide range of Asian and Indian delicacies; while Java+ coffee bar, the second outlet in India and the seventh in the world, provides authentic Indian and international street favourites with signature coffee and baked goods. To unwind after a long day, head to B&W-The Bar, which serves a selection of classic cocktails and handcrafted beverages.

For relaxation, the property features a spa centre with two well-appointed therapy rooms and a range of soothing spa treatments; a well-equipped fitness centre; as well as an outdoor swimming pool. www.marriott.com
