Changi Celebrates SG50

Business travellers passing through Singapore’s Changi Airport will be able to take part in the Lion City’s celebration of its 50 years of independence.

The airport has unveiled 50 special attractions that showcase Singapore’s most iconic features, dishes and landmarks as part of the country’s official celebrations.

Visitors will be treated to a visual smorgasbord of quintessentially Singaporean icons, including larger-than-life displays of durians and chilli crabs, and exhibits exploring the historic and modern day Singapore.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a wide range of SG50 discounts, gifts and deals at the airport’s 150 retail and F&B outlets, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the future of Changi with a built-to-scale model of the airport’s future developments.

For passengers with a little more time to spare – and perhaps bored by airport lounge offerings – the airport will also be screening movies at the theatres in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3, all free of charge.

The special exhibitions, offers and screenings will be available until the end of September. www.changiairport.com
