Cathay Opens New Manila Lounge

Cathay Pacific has opened a new lounge at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

The airline’s lounge was previously located at the airport’s Terminal 1, but following the carrier’s move to Terminal 3 in October 2014, plans to develop a new lounge were set in motion.

The new space features plenty of cherry wood, glazed screens and green ceramic tiles, and is modelled on Cathay’s revamped lounge at Tokyo Haneda Airport. Ths 650sqm Manila space was also led by London-based Studioilse, and has been designed to create a relaxing environment for passengers.

Plenty of natural light floods the lounge through large windows, while practical fittings offer comfortable seating, business facilities and connectivity.

Cathay’s signature noodle bar is also present at the new lounge, serving the airline’s popular Asian favourites including wonton noddles and dan dan noodles.

Other offerings include a range of tapas, desserts and cocktails, while passengers catching early flights will be able to sample authentic Filipino breakfasts until 11am.

Located on level 4, near Gate 114, the lounge is open to Cathay’s premium passengers, Marco Polo members holding silver membership or above, oneworld first and business class passengers, and oneworld emerald and sapphire cardholders. www.cathaypacific.com
