British Airways Offers Daily A380 Services to Singapore

British Airways will increase its Airbus A380 flights between Singapore and London to daily, effective November 20.

Launched on the route in October 2014, the A380 is part of the airline’s investment to improve customer experience in the air and on the ground, and coincides with the airline’s new lounge at Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal.

“The A380 is the largest aircraft in our fleet, [and one] that is designed with the modern standard of comfort,” says British Airways’ head of Asia Pacific sales Robert Williams. “Since its inaugural flight on the route last October, it has proven to be really popular with our customers here and we are very pleased to extend the service to daily. The start of the daily service also means that all British Airways aircraft departing Singapore will now feature our latest cabin products, ensuring customers travelling from Singapore to both London and Sydney do so in absolute style and comfort.”

The aircraft comes in a four-class configuration, with 14 open suites in First Class, 97 flat beds in Club World (business class), 55 seats in World Traveller Plus (Premium economy) and 303 in World Traveller (economy class). All classes are equipped with on-demand audio and video systems, allowing passengers to play music or watch videos from their own entertainment device on their in-flight television, making the A380 popular with business travellers.

The A380 service will temporarily serve the route three times a week during scheduled maintenance between December 25, 2015 and February 24, 2016. Daily service will be resumed on 25 February 2016. www.britishairways.com
