Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has opened a new car rental centre at Schiphol Plaza on the airport’s first floor, allowing travellers the chance to make reservations and arrange transport services more efficiently.
With the development of the new hub, businss travellers will be able to compare plans and fleets and secure a vehicle within minutes of arriving. All car rental companies that operate at Schiphol now have their service desks at Schiphol, as the airport continues to develop itself as an efficient and sustainable multimodal transport hub and a dynamic environment for travellers.
The Schiphol car rental services are used primarily by international visitors, including both business travellers and holidaymakers. The five worldwide car rental companies operating at Schiphol include Avis/Budget, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt, all of which now have their own premises at the new Schiphol Plaza car rental centre, providing travellers with more convenience and seamless connectivity throughout their journey.
Voted “Best European Airport 2016” by British business travellers, Schiphol is the second-largest hub airport in the world, and is also a very strong worldwide hub, with 323 direct destinations and 52,000 transfer connections, as shown in the Airport Council International’s Connectivity Report 2016.
