Airbnb’s New Enticements for Corporate Travel

Airbnb is further targeting executive travellers with the introduction of a new product suite for its exclusive Business Travel programme.

The accommodation booking website, which is gaining favour with businesses as a cost-effective travel option, launched its corporate travel scheme last year and has since experienced a growth of more than 700 percent, thanks to support from more than 250 companies, including big names like Google, SoundCloud and Twilio.

The website has now added some extra features that it believe will make Airbnb even more attractive to businesses, and easier to use.

An all-new Activity Tab shows current and upcoming trip details for all employees, enabling companies to get an overview of company travel at one glance.

The new Reporting tab collects, collates and manages booking reports, so that travel expenses can be taken care of easily.

Finally, an Employees Tab allows companies to quickly and easily manage approved and pending employee requests for booking accommodation for business travel through Airbnb.

Also on hand is a central billing system that streamlines payments, and other useful financial and booking reports that can be exported to provide transparency and visibility for bookings made across a company.

To further encourage companies to jump on the Airbnb bandwagon, the website is offering all businesses that sign up to Airbnb’s Business Travel scheme by September 1 US$50 credit towards each employee to use for their first corporate travel booking. www.airbnb.com
