AirAsia X to Connect Australia and New Zealand

AirAsia X will launch daily flights between the Gold Coast of Australia and Auckland in New Zealand on March 22, 2016, giving business travellers more convenience when they pick their flights.

The route will be operated on an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which has a configuration of 365 economy seats and 12 premium flat-bed seats. A “quiet zone” is also available, featuring ambient soft lighting as well as early meal service. Business class passengers can enjoy priority check-in, priority boarding, combo meals, and premium pillows and duvets.

“We’re delighted to launch this service and bring added competition to this popular route across the Tasman and provide another low cost travel option,” says AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail. “The Gold Coast was AirAsia X’s inaugural route from Malaysia and has been well supported by our Australian and international guests. We’re also delighted to offer New Zealand as an exciting destination for travellers looking to enjoy the many unique experiences which New Zealand offers.” www.airasia.com
