Air China Links Shanghai with San Jose

Air China will launch non-stop flights between Shanghai and San Jose in Northern California on September 1, 2016, allowing business travellers to fly to the capital of Silicon Valley, home to hundreds of world-famous companies, including Cisco, Intel, HP, Lucent and Apple.

The new service will be Air China’s first route between Shanghai and North America. Operating with an Airbus A330-200, which provides flat-bed seats in the Business Class cabin, and personal entertainment systems for all passengers, the new service will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The outbound flight will depart from Shanghai at 1pm and arrive in San Jose at 10.10am, while the return leg will depart from San Jose at 12pm to land in Shanghai at 4.40pm the next day.

With this service, passengers from San Jose can transfer in Shanghai to other Asian destinations such as Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Meanwhile, by virtue of Air China’s cooperation with the United Airlines and the American Airlines, passengers from Shanghai can further go to American cities like Houston, Denver, Phoenix, Dallas and Chicago. www.airchina.com
