Air Astana & Bangkok Airways to Codeshare

Kazakhstan-based Air Astana has signed a unilateral codeshare agreement with Thailand’s Bangkok Airways, allowing business travellers from Asia to connect meetings in Thailand and Central Asia. Air Astana operates daily Almaty – Bangkok flights while Bangkok Airways has an extensive network in southern China and Southeast Asia.

“Bangkok Airways has grown to become a highly respected Asian carrier with a comprehensive network throughout the region, and they have deservedly excellent reputation for service,” says Air Astana CEO and president Peter Foster OBE. “As a similarly high quality airline Air Astana is delighted with a codeshare agreement, which will significantly enhance the links between our two regions.”

Bangkok Airways serves 11 destinations throughout its Thailand home plus a further 13 destinations in neighbouring countries including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar and Singapore. Air Astana customers travelling on Bangkok Airways will be able to enjoy a check-through service, lounge access and inflight meals.

All Air Astana’s passengers on Bangkok Airways flights will receive boarding passes on check-in at their first international departure point for connecting international services. airastana.com
