Yan Toh Heen to Introduce Mandarin Zest Pu Er Tea

InterContinental Hong Kong’s two-Michelin star Cantonese restaurant Yan Toh Heen will offer authentic Mandarin Zest Pu Er Tea from June 10 to August 31. The premium tea will be paired with a wide selection of dishes by executive chef Lau Yiu Fai, with business set lunch and dinner options.

The Mandarin Zest Pu Er Tea specially selected for Yan Toh Heen is made from large natural red mandarins from the village of Tian Ma in Xin Hui district in Guangdong. To create this unique tea, the premium five-year Pu Er tea leaves are aged inside the Mandarin Peel for an additional five years during which the tea leaves are infused with the flavour and aroma of the aged mandarin zest.

Yan Toh Heen’s executive chef Lau Yiu Fai has collaborated with tea sommelier Kelvin Ng to create an exclusive eight-course dinner menu, priced at HK$2,688 (US$347) per person. The set dinner menu includes golden lobster with spicy salt and barbecued suckling pig; braised imperial bird’s nest with garoupa roll; golden stuffed crab shell with crabmeat; and braised whole abalone (28 heads) in oyster jus with sea cucumber. Two options for Business Set Lunches, paired with Mandarin Zest Pu Er Tea, will also be available at HK$888 (US$115) per person. https://hongkong-ic.intercontinental.com
