United Resumed Nonstop Flights Between San Francisco & Hong Kong

United Airlines has resumed nonstop services to and from Hong Kong, marking the airline’s first passenger flight service out of the city since the start of the pandemic.

United’s daily nonstop service from Hong Kong (HKG) to San Francisco (SFO) directly connects Hong Kong travellers to the airline’s largest hub airport on the U.S. West Coast, and numerous cities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America vis its hub.

Flight UA862 will leave HKG daily at 12:20 p.m. and will arrive in SFO at 8:45 a.m. the same day. The return flight, UA877, will depart SFO daily at 10:40 p.m. and will arrive in HKG at 6:00 a.m. two days later. All flights will utilize the B777-300ER aircraft offering 60 seats in the United Polaris business cabin, 24 seats in the United Premium Plus cabin, and 266 seats in the United Economy cabin.

“This year United is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Hong Kong and we’re thrilled to be able to return to this important market,” says Walter Dias, United’s regional director of sales for Greater China, Korea and Southeast Asia. “We very much look forward to welcoming Hong Kong customers on our HKG-SFO service again. Customers traveling from Hong Kong to the U.S. will find convenient, easy connections at our San Francisco hub to more than 70 destinations in the mainland U.S., Canada and Latin America. We also look forward to bringing our loyal customers in North America to the vibrant city of Hong Kong!”
