St. Regis Hotels Opens in Shanghai

The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan has opened in China’s largest city, marking the brand’s ninth hotel in the Greater China region, while providing business travellers with a range of luxury accommodation options with world-class hospitality.

Situated in the heart of the Jingan District, Shanghai’s cultural and business centre, the hotel has elegant interiors that combine traditional English and Chinese palatial styles and feature elements of Chinese art and culture, such as calligraphy and handcrafted gold foil paintings. The hotel’s 436 guestrooms are located on the 36th to 68th floors of a high-rise building, with major corporate offices on the fifth to 35th floors.

All the guestrooms, including 66 suites and 55 residences, which boast sweeping city views. The three-bedroom, three-storey Presidential Suite spans 650sqm and is located on the top floor of the building, featuring a glass ceiling, a spacious living room, outdoor terraces with panoramic views of the city’s skyline, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a lounge area.

The property offers a wide range of venues for intimate social and corporate gatherings, with over 3,000sqm of meeting spaces across eleven meeting rooms, while two executive boardrooms offer a range of layouts and amenities that can be adapted to any occasion. Spanning 1,400sqm, the elegant Astor Ballroom, featuring 95sqm LED wall projection system and an attached 368sqm foyer, can accommodate up to 1300 guests for VIP receptions, gala dinners or corporate events.

The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan offers six distinct restaurants and bars, including Seki-tei, which is set in a modern Japanese stone garden, and features a live cooking teppanyaki station; Bespoke, serving seasonal tasting menus; and The St. Regis Bar, which offers the brand’s signature St. Regis Bloody Mary, in addition to fine wines, rare spirits, champagnes and handcrafted cocktails.

Other facilities include St. Regis’ signature Iridium Spa, which features a range of specialty massages and treatments, an indoor swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness centre.
