Scoot Launches Melbourne Direct

Budget airline Scoot has launched non-stop flights between Singapore Changi and Melbourne, its fourth Australian destination. The route is operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft five times a week, rising to daily during peak travel periods.

Scoot’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner features a two class configuration, with 35 recliner seats in ScootBiz, the airline’s business class, and 340 standard seats in economy class, of which 45 are in ScootinSilence, a designated quiet zone featuring Stretch Seats and Super Seats.

“Scoot has long received requests to fly to Melbourne, Australia’s sporting and cultural capital, so we’re delighted to finally be doing so,” says Scoot CEO Campbell Wilson. “We’re even more pleased to be using a brand-new 787, part of the world’s first all Dreamliner fleet.”

The addition of Melbourne brings the total number of Scoot destinations to 17 in eight countries and territories. www.flyscoot.com
