New Openings Across Asia for Frasers

Frasers Hospitality marks its 27th anniversary this month with a pipeline of five new openings across Mainland China, Japan and Malaysia.

This year, Frasers Hospitality will further grow its portfolio in Mainland China with openings in Dalian, Shanghai and Shenzhen, including the launch of its premium rental apartments, Modena by Fraser Shenzhen and Modena by Fraser Wujiaochang Shanghai.

Modena by Fraser Shenzhen (below), opening in Q2, 2025, is located in the bustling commercial core of Luohu District, with 325 contemporary rental apartments located within Shennan 1001, a landmark development in Shenzhen, integrating premium office buildings, boutiques and upscale cultural experiences. Apartment types ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments feature flexible layouts, and facilities such as a pickleball court, gym, pilates room, barbecue corner and a lobby cafe cater for premium urban living.

Modena by Fraser Wujiaochang Shanghai (below), also opening in Q2, is located in the bustling Wujiaochang commercial area, a vibrant urban sub-centre surrounded by renowned global enterprises, upscale shopping malls, and prestigious international universities. Each of the 307 elegantly designed units, ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments, is equipped with a fully functional kitchenette and adaptable living area. Additionally, an on-site restaurant, a gym, yoga room, and a residents’ lounge with an in-built projector screen provide everything business travellers need for effortless living.

These openings will be followed in Q4 by Modena by Fraser Dalian, which will be situated in the Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone with 120 well-appointed apartments. Redefining business travel with state-of-the-art facilities and efficient service, the property caters to both short- and long-term stays with a variety of room types. Each unit is equipped with a modern kitchen and high-speed Wi-Fi, perfectly meeting the needs of tech-savvy and dynamic travellers.

In Malaysia, Fraser Residence Putrajaya and Capri by Fraser Penang are also set to open their doors in 2025, increasing its presence to four properties across four iconic cities in the country.

Strategically located in Putrajaya — where government offices and Cyberjaya, Malaysia’s Silicon Valley are within easy access, Fraser Residence Putrajaya, opening in September, offers 283 serviced apartments with panoramic lake views and full facilities that include a restaurant, gym, swimming pool, meeting rooms and children’s playroom, catering to business and leisure travellers alike.

Additionally, the latest signing of Fraser Place Roppongi Tokyo, opening in Q1, 2026, will expand Frasers Hospitality’s footprint in Japan to two properties by 2026.
