Malaysia Airlines Enhances India Services

Malaysia Airlines will increase the frequency of flights on the Kuala Lumpur to Amritsar route to daily starting Thursday 1 August 2024.

Launched in November 2023, Amritsar is one of three new India routes introduced in 2023 alongside Ahmedabad and Trivandrum. Benefitting business travellers, the increase in flight frequencies to  Amritsar, a major textile production hub, will bring Malaysia Airlines’ total weekly flights in India to 71, where it currently operates to nine key hubs including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Trivandrum.

Malaysia Airlines boasts an extensive network to South Asia, offering flights 71 weekly flights to nine major cities in India, 14 weekly flights to Bangladesh, 10 weekly flights to Nepal and seven weekly flights to Sri Lanka. The expansion to South Asia will provide added convenience and flexibility for corporate travel between the Sub-continent and Southeast Asia.

Amritsar

Starting from July 2024, the airline will also be increasing flight frequency between Sydney and Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur. These additional flights will operate between 5 July to 22 July 2024 and 27 September to 14 October 2024, adding over 7,500 seats over the peak school holiday period. Malaysia Airlines currently operates 53 weekly flights between Australia & New Zealand and Malaysia.
