Auckland’s newest hotel, the M Social is an innovative lifestyle hotel that enjoys a prime position on Auckland’s waterfront.
The hotel is just the second M Social, the first being the Philippe Starck-designed M Social Singapore, and represents the latest addition to Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ signature Leng’s Collection.
M Social’s location in downtown Auckland is close to the city’s best restaurants and nightlife and offers views of the Waitemata Harbour.

The 190-room hotel features five room and two suite categories. Each floor features a different theme created by local street artists, incorporating elements of local culture such as the fauna, marine life, and literature. All guestrooms feature wall-to-wall windows overlooking the harbour, with the Social View rooms on the upper floors offering the best views. The Social Tribe rooms feature two interconnecting bedrooms, perfect for a family or group stay. The Harbour Suites and Ocean Suites provide a large living space combined with awesome view s from the ninth floor and above.
Guests staying in a Social Club Room, or one of the suites, have access to the Social Lounge. The lounge provides a shared guest hub with communal workstations, individual tables, and facilities including printers, stationery, and other essentials. It provides a space for guests to relax or socialise with other guests over a game of pool, or even a game of space invaders.
In-house restaurant Beast & Butterflies is a casual all-day dining destination complete with an outdoor terrace. The Pacific Rim menu has street food influences, including dishes that showcase the region’s best fresh seafood. The Delicatessen serves a selection of fresh salads, cured meats, and bakery items to eat in or on the go, as well as a bespoke coffee roasted for M Social.

The hotel is also one of the first in New Zealand to feature self-service check-in/out kiosks as well as a traditional reception desk and concierge service.
