New Events Concept for Hyat Regency Sydney

Hyatt Regency Sydney has unveiled a creative new event concept that will allow function guests to interact and engage with the hotel’s hospitality team and fellow event attendees like never before.

Ideal for networking events between 100 and 300 people, the new dining experience will see each guest allocated a responsibility to select salads, sides, meat, bread, desserts, and beverages on behalf of their table of eight.

“We strive to be bold, unique, and stand out from the rest at Hyatt Regency Sydney,” says executive chef Sven J. Ullrich. “This concept breaks down the perception that all event menus are standard – as it puts the decision-making into the hands of our guests in real-time, allowing them to choose what they’d like to eat and drink whilst attending a function at the hotel. From water with different flavour infusions and an extensive drinks selection – to an assortment of freshly baked bread, pastries, and chocolates – to the hot carvery and side stations – I can guarantee guests will be spoilt for choice and have a lot of fun during the selection process.”

The ‘Create Your Own Dining Experience’ package costs AU$155 (US$112) per person (minimum of 100 guests), with eight guests seated per table.

Since opening in late 2016 following an extensive $250 million redevelopment, Hyatt Regency Sydney has been recognised as an energetic, clever, and confident brand. The hotel has won multiple awards including Number One Ranking Cvent Top 50 Meeting Hotels Asia Pacific in 2018, TAA Conference & Events Venue of the Year, HM Awards Meetings and Conferencing Property of the Year and AHA National Awards for Excellence Best Meeting and Events Venue of the Year in 2017, reflecting its dedication for excellence.
